New Golf unveiled.

Doesn't appear much updated and the generic "predator eyes" style headlamps circa the the 2000's are a boner if you axe me.

a step backward, IMO. makes sense since
Mk4 --> Mk5 - step backward
Mk5 --> Mk6 - step forward
Mk6 --> Mk7 - backward

Interior looks nice, rest of the car is Meh. As far as a performance car goes..I'd rather have a WRX or an ST. Hell, after seeing the new comercials for the MAzda CX-5, it looks like MAzda finally lost that retarded smile face, so I am hoping the MS3 looses it as well, in which case, might be the best looking hatch in the near future.

I think it looks fine. I am pretty interested I how the diesel variant will fare considering it lost 200 lbs.

Not a golf anymore. VW just lost their only good vehicle....

It's an A3 wagon from 7 years ago:

This is the plain Golf. I'm waiting to see the new GTI and Golf R. Getting rid of the aging and slow 2.5 i5 in the regular Golf is a great move forward... I also appreciate the significant weight reduction.

Jeeze...how many updates has the Golf platform had in the last 5 years? Like 3? Seems like every year-year & a half there's a refresh.
