Wow, in the spirit of the election......

A new rule of golf has been announced in So. Florida to grant each player the option of replacing the traditional call of "FORE". Once a player has hit an errant shot he will be allowed to call "GORE" while the ball is still in flight. He can then replace the ball in the same spot and hit it again.

The player can continue doing this until he is satisfied the ball isgoing where he intended to hit it in the first place. The time of play is extended until such time the player no longer claims any more "Gores".

This revision is being enthusiastically endorsed by many golfers who contend that "every shot should count", and the guiding principle for counting them should be the "intent of the golfer".

Critics note this new rule has extended the average game of golf from 4 hours to 4 days.  Golfers who follow the traditional rules must use camping gear while incompetent golfers using the new rules hit thousands of shots on each hole until their intended shot is achieved.

Supporters of the rule reply that stupid and incompetent golfers have just as much right as anyone else to score birdies, eagles and holes in one.

Hehe good one! Truly, golf analogies can be made to tackle just about any aspect of life. I once consoled my bro using several golf analogies when he lost his girlfriend. Hey, it worked. ;)

I'm going to Orlando next week to play some golf. I'm going to use that new rule. Thanks.

I hope it is USGA approved though cause my new Callaway ERC sure isn't.
