So is there a way to swipe one way for archive, swipe the other way for delete?

By default it only notifies you of emails to the Primary inbox.

Once you have the categories set up, go to Settings>[accountname]>Manage labels

Notice that only Primary says something like "Sound on, notify once" below the sync duration. To enable sync on another category, click on it and turn on Label notifications.

I love it, I can finally delete emails from the notification center. Deleting from within the app though is a huge pain in the ass and I wish they never changed it. You have to long press the emails you want to delete, but it usually messes up and just opens the email... ugh.

What I hate about having to set it up like this is now I get separate notifications for each label. So sometimes I'll have 3 or 4 mail icons in the status bar.

Uh just tap the letter symbol on the left, it selects the message.

Or you can set it up to swipe and delete it.
