Thanks Gary!

Can you comment on the Rev2.0 version of the DS3? I have a DS3 on it's way to me(I'm assuming it's a Rev1.0) and need to know if there is any serious change that makes it worth returning to get the Rev2.0 version. Thanks in advance for some advice on this.

Good Job! I have the same question, Rev2.0 says it's "quad core optimized" instead of the "quad core ready" in Rev1.0

Any other differences ???

I just loaded F8J on my system and it is now dead. It wont post. Cmos clear and removing the battery won't work. I'm in trouble.

Wow, bummer dude. Bad flashes are my worst nightmare. Hopefully you can figure out something out.

it wasnt a bad flash......it booted a few times and then killed itself on a cold boot.
I sure hope you didn't try to update the BIOS with your system overclocked at the time.

no....i did the update with @bios like i always do at stock speeds. It went fine......i ran for awhile .....tested a few things and then cold booted and it died........any idea how to recover this with no video?

Flashing from a floppy is the preferred way to flash a mobo. 😉 Make the disc and give it a shot. You don't have much to lose at this point.

I made the disk and hooked up my floppy and turned it on and it still wont do anything. What makes it go to the floppy to get the bios??? I don't even see a light come on ...on the floppy drive....no activity on it at all.
