new gigabyte brix to transcode for plex?

So i'm thinking either the new intel NUC's or the gigabyte brix. Transcode about 3-4 streams in 1080p w/5.1

is the i7 an over kill? will an i5 do it just fine? Of course, I'm looking at the haswell ULV cpu's.
