As a new service to our readership, we will start releasing Beta or Final release level BIOS spins as we receive them from the manufacturers. If the BIOS is beta, there will not be any technical support from the supplier so use at your own risk.

P35DQ6F5G

P35DS3PAT.F5D

P35ds3rAT.f5b

P35cds3rAT.f4b

P35DS4AT.F5D

These are all Beta releases but we have tested them to the point where we trust them. Now the question is, Do you trust us?

Just installed the new beta bios for the DS3R....and so far it looks like a nice improvement in memory performance.

Everest Results Before:

Latency: 83.7
Write: 2344
Read:6299

Everest Results After:

Latency: 72.8
Write: 2777
Read: 7038

I was using the official f4 Bios previously, and these results were taken using Everest v2.20.405 with 4x1gb Micron D9hnl@5-5-5-15 (the super cheap stuff over in Hot Deals) and an e6400 running 8x388 (3.1ghz).

The majority of improvements are in memory performance, especially with double sided DIMMS and overclocking should be a tad better. Improved compatibility with the upcoming 1333FSB CPUs and Vista are also included.

Should have final releases in about a week, maybe another series of beta releases before then.

wow, will try p35cds3rat.f4b later.

wondering if they already fixed vista 8GB ram lagging issue or not....

currently, GA already released new fixed bios (06/12/07) for GA-P35-DS3R, GA-P35-S3, and GA-P35-DS3 with the issue description as "Fix Vista boot lag with 8GB memory issue"
hope they really fixed this issue..

however, currently, there are no official fixed bios from GA for the rest of the p35 series...

update:
this new bios is dated 06/12/07. it did fix 8GB vista boot lag issue. happy!

I just built a system with the GA-P35-DQ6 so I think I will use the f4 first to see if it fixes that boot hang before trying the f5 beta. Anyone here use it for the DQ6?
