New GFX card seems worse than old one!!

I am not sure you should have RMA'd it. The 6600 & 6600GT cards often have poor contact between the heatsink and the GPU. My guess is that it was overheating. See this link for more info. Not that it hurts that you RMA'd it. Just when you get another one back, if it still has the same problem, check the GPU temp and how the heatsink fits on the GPU first.

RMAing is the best option even in this situation, reseating the heatsink voids the warrenty with almost all OEMs (note i said almost).

Right, I recieved the new card this morning and it works perfectly :) :)

I guess we'll never know if the card was faulty or if MSI crap monitoring/power saving software is more trouble than its worth.
