New Gateway PC Ram and GPU question

I have a question on my new Gateway GT5032 PC. It's a Athlon 64 4200+ dual core, 1 GB of ram, 250GB drive, Windows media center, integrated NVIDIA® GeForce® 6100 GPU
It has two 512 ram sticks in it, any problem with mixing brands of ram? I have 1 gig of Kingston ram ready to go in, though I kinda wonder if I really need another gig
Also, is the onboard 6100 graphics better than my old Chaintech Ti4600 card?

I got the Gateway GT5032 for 795.00 at Circuit City, which I thought was a pretty good deal
