I purchased a new Gateway system at Best Buy on Sunday. After getting rid of all the bloatware it seems to be running fine. I noticed something odd though. During startup when it loads Vista the blue power led seems to slowly blink. Once its at the Vista login it stops, and will only do it again if you go to standby. I know its normal for it to blink during standby, but I've never seen this happen on a system during startup.

This is the first Gateway system I've ever bought. The machine seems to be working fine. Just wondering if the blue led is supposed to blink when Vista starts up.

Well I just found out this is normal for the DX series. Even the display models at Best Buy do this...
