Obviously these are both TN panels which diminishes my enthusiasm greatly, and they decided to use Faroudja instead of Teranex (Like the 30") for the video conversion. I don't understand why they didn't go HQV with these two models, that would've really sweetened the deal for me.

What do you guys think?

Will have same inverse ghosting as in the previous model? I bet it is due to that Faroudja chip.

160º left/right, 160º up/down - yes it is an TN... how ordinary!

The LCD monitor market needs something like LED backlights and excellent 120Hz frame rate conversion for me to buy a new monitor, I'm sick of this tiny increments of advancements.

At this rate my next monitor will be an OLED in 2010.

Here here. I am so sick of it being almost 2008 and having nothing to replace my 21" NEC 2070SB. It's such a gorgeous display color wise but it weighs 70lbs and is downright blurry in text reproduction compared to an LCD. With all these monitor releases being TN panels I wonder if I'll have no choice but to downgrade when this thing dies. Sigh...

There are still lots of good *VA & a few *IPS options.

Just don't wait too long...

I'm with you guys. I've been running the same Hitachi CM772 for 7 years. I wonder sometimes how incredible CRTs would be now if they had continued R&D on them.
