Welcome to the forums, hexodos!

In short, you need a graphics card. The HD7570 you have is a card more appropriate for home theater PC use. It's not a gaming card.

Your computer comes with a 460w power supply: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...portFAQ&prodSeriesId=5295996&prodTypeId=12454

Therefore, most mid-range graphics cards would work. This $90AR HD7770 would be a huge upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127664

The only other option, if it's within your budget, is the HD7850 1GB. It will cost quite a bit more ($150AR), but it would be a good investment for getting the most out of your system: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150656

As a heads up, it would be helpful to know whether your power supply has a PCIe power connector available. It is a 6-pin black rectangular connector that would be unused in your current setup. If the PSU does not have one, you'll need an adaptor, and the HD7770 above has one, but unfortunately the HD7850 does not.

I would almost take it back (if possible) if you want to be playing on ultra. If you want to keep it, the first thing I'm gonna assume you need is a new power supply. For 1080p you'll want at least a radeon HD7850. That cpu is a little underpowered but I think it would be alright for a really budget build. The RAM would be nice to have at 1600mHz but that's not the biggest problem.

In my experience, pre-built computers are really difficult to work on, so you may want to try buying a new one or building one. I'm seeing $800-$900 on a lot of sites for that pc, and you can make a pretty decent gaming pc for that much.

Gaming computer? For what GLQuake! LOL!

Seriously, though, a 7950 2GB is the sweet spot for you. You have a decent CPU once
overclocked to its max. You might need a bigger PS such as a 750w.

It's an HP. He can't overclock it.

You mean a 7870 2GB?

I hope so - it's not like the 7950 is the only choice for everyone on this forum, and it's certainly a bad match for the OP's system.

And just a general comment - the OP came to this forum for advice on improving his new computer. Telling him to return it is not that helpful. He's obviously already started using it and would like to get the most out of it.

7770 or 7850 would be the best upgrade for him with his system.....:)

Nowhere near 750w for a single 7950. A quality 500w is plenty. His 460 might be able to do it, if we could see the exact specs. A lot of dells use Delta PSU's (The same people who make Antec PSU's) and those are actually pretty decent. IIRC they use the same PSU with 7870's pre installed from Dell.
