Ok, Got a new gaming pc and renting an old house with old wiring. PC works fine at tech shop. Tried different circuits in house and the most I get is 10-15 minutes then is shuts off.
Power supply is 480 watt - ac 120/230 v (50/60Mz). Tech said try a voltage converter?? Any ideas?? (except having the house rewired)

How old? Do you have fuses or circuit breakers?

I would think, if you were stressing the amperage, either a fuse would blow or a circuit breaker would trip.

Have you checked yr temps???

For how long did the system run normally at the tech shop?

Check Voltage from outlet.could be going too high or dropping too low

Edit/New Thought:

I guess it is possible, if the system is in fact getting erratic/vacillating power from the outlet, short of tripping a circuit breaker, it could slow yr fans down to the point the system might overheat and that could cause the shutdowns.

Very interesting dilemma this is. Tho I am sorry U R having to endure it.

Weirdly enough,I'm having an almost identical issue with my Windows 7 desktop PC in my apartment.(running a PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1200- the 80 mm fan version.)

My PC works fine in my friend's apartment, which I think is on a different circuit than mine...but not in my apartment at all.

Very bizarre.

Sorry to jack your thread,I'm having similar issues to you.
