Have not built a new pc for years and have done a couple of days of research and put together the below configuration for feedback. I am still debating whether to build or buy and I know building will give me a lot more bang for the buck, but concerned about troubleshooting if there are issues.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. Gaming WOW and FPS (Call of Duty)

2. What YOUR budget is. Approx. $1500

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from. USA

5. Do YOU have a brand preference. NO

6. DO YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are. No

7. DO YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds. Maybe...but probably not.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using? 1920x1080...maybe higher

9. WHEN do you plan to build it? Within the next couple of weeks

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software? Windows 7 Professional

If you aren't going to OC then don't buy the K processor and don't buy the H50. I'd just buy a Coolermaster 212+ Evo HSF and an i5-3470. That will save a couple of bucks.

Unless you have a real need for 16gb of RAM I'd drop down to 8gb and save money there.

The 850w PSU is overkill big time. Drop down to a quality 550-650w PSU and save more bucks.

CPU - good, though you stated Micro Center yet you're buying the motherboard elsewhere? If you have a micro center that you can drive to, pick up the motherboard there as well since you get $40 off the cpu / board combo. The Asrock z77 extreme 4 will cost you $95 there.

Cooler - you're paying too much, get the 212+ evo like DooKey suggested.

RAM - I doubt that you need 16GB of RAM unless you're running virtual machines or doing serious HD video editing. These would be fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820147096

Storage - ok

GPU - OK, but you have some choices. You should also look at the 7970 for $380 with 3 free games (plus a $20 rebate card). The 7970 overclocks well and performs about the same as the GTX 670 (better in some games, worse in others). The key here is the overclocking potential, as that will take performance past the 670 card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814202008

Case- your choice

Power supply- way, way, way, way overkill!!!!!! You don't need even half that power
Today's deal on the Seasonic x650 for $89 is too good to pass up http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151088

do you own a monitor?
