New gaming laptop

Hello, I am saving for a new gaming laptop and the model I have in mind is the MSI dominator pro GT-72S G-220. Any thoughts on this unit? How would you rate it vs. An ASUS ROG unit with similar specs? Also, I saw a refurbished by OEM model on Amazon for about $400.00 less, which has a 180-day warranty. Is that something that I should consider or stay away from on this unit? Thanks for the help and advice!

The specs look ok. What you would want to do is look at the ratings for the seller and see if there are any complaints.

It looks almost like a too good to be true deal.

You might wait until late August to October. The new laptops with the 10xx gpus should be out by then and the laptop you are looking at will probably go on sale.

I'm going to guess that most of the PC makers are going to launch Pascal notebook products along with Kaby Lake, since the launch times are within a few months of each other. So the pickings for Pascal notebooks are rather slim (and expensive).
