I'm building a new PC to play FFXIV (reqs:

as well as run standard operations like word, excel, chat programs, etc.

I would like your help proofreading the list of parts I've compiled so far. I went in with a budget of around $1,000, but I'd like to get the best price for things if I could.

I plan from buying the parts from newegg or another online store, I don't have a brand preference, I won't be able to use any parts because I have a laptop now and will be selling it, I've read a few different websites and articles on components and I've tried to make the best decisions with them, I'm not familiar with overclocking, but if the CPU is bottlenecking performance I might research overclocking, I plan on gaming at as good of Res as my monitor can, and I'm not willing to pay any more for a better res. monitor, and I plan to build the computer in the next month or so.

Heck, you probably get a similarly performing gaming Laptop for around $1000

if you dont need a laptop then get a desktop.

laptops will need to be replaced when its outdated, as a desktop can just be upgraded.

That 5770 seems a bit high. You can probably fit a GTX 460 into the budget. I would also go with an Athlon II X4 quad.
