One hell of a build, and a different case then usual, refreshing hehe. Been contemplating that case myself as well, and it looks nice, but for the money doesn't quite offer the functionality of the p182, which is why I didn't buy it. The rest of the build looks awesome, you sure you need a soundcard though ? Nowadays onboard sound is pretty good ... Maybe step up the HD to a samsung 500gb t166 spinpoint, but thats just preference.

On a sidenote, check clubit.com for good deals on the 520hx, 129$ is way to much when it can be had for 85$ or so.

Thanks for the information Mark. I'll check out clubit for the 520hx. I"m one of those that has always been against onboard sound heh heh. I'm sure its pretty good now but I have a nice speaker system (klipsch 4.1) and I use my computer to play my electric guitar through. I figure for $80 bucks what the hell.

As for the harddrive. From my personal experience at work I'm straying away from Samsung drives. I have had soooo many of them die on me in our brand new HP computers.

Samsung used to be sub-par, but they no longer are. But it's all preference, if 320gb does the trick, then why not. And yeah, in your case, with nice speakers, the soundcard is somewhat worth it :)

Well actually my experience with them has come from this past year haha. By the way here are the specs of the computer I'm currently using...this upgrade is just huge for me lol

P4 2.2Ghz Northwood
1GB RAM
Geforce TI4200 128MB (fan died on card years ago but still runs great even while playing games)
1 big obnoxiously loud case

Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm about to hit the buy button!

I just ordered the CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W power supply from ZipZoomFly instead. After mail-in rebate it will only cost $75. I'll lose modular design but that's ok :)

Go for a 500GB drive, they seem to have more GB/$ at the moment.

Or check out the Seagate 7200.11 series, they've got 32MB cache.

seagate = bad
get wd se 16 or samsung 501lj, even anandtech says it.

plus dont pay for a superclocked vid card NEVER

finally, stay away from liteon. they scraped my cod2 dvd. the liteon dvd left marks on my cod2 dvd and now I cant read it. pretty unbelivable.

Whats wrong with buying a superclocked card? its covered in warrenty, and prevents the pain of overclocking it

I have been using liteon for over 7 years now. Bought many dvdrw's from them, and always seemed to work fine. Probably just a bad experience.

yea a REALLY bad experience. For the superclocked card, you just pay for something you can do yourself. So why dont you save some money? Its not that hard to change 2 (two) frequencies...

Doh! You guys came late to the party! I ordered it 2 days ago haha. I actually wound up with a overclocked XFX 8800GT because I couldn't find any EVGA in stock.
