i don't expect that many games really, DX11.1 was more of a marketing gimmick by MS to push Win8, it hardly introduces anything new.

"Star Trek Online"

Really? Why bother? Unless they made huge changes since its release it looked bad compared to DX9 games and the gameplay is pretty terrible even for an MMORPG.

It will probably end up like DX 10.1, hardly used and forgotten.

Well at least I hope so, Kepler isn't fully compliant with the DX 11.1 spec.

Battlefield 4 will use DX11.1

Seeing that the next-gen consoles have DX11.1 feature sets, it's probably Windows 7 and its lack of full DX11.1 support that will hold back its usage

DX10.1 cards did get some usage when games began using the DX11 API though.

You understand that Nvidia supports all 11.1 features related to 3d graphics and only fails to support 4 features that are not utilized in gaming.

That means to take full advantage.... only AMD users can? also only Windows 8 users?

F*** that sh*t.

My question is more related to what benefits DX11.1 has over DX11. The consensus seems to indicate little if any change.

And JC2, FC2, Battleforge. Black Ops 2, Hitman Absolution, Assassins Creed 3 and other DX11 games are also using DX10.1 if played on such hardware.

I too am interested in that. I've mostly seen devs on forums comment about it.
Repi has mentioned a few times on his twitter that DX11.1 reduces the CPU overhead in BF4.

i hear rummors that they will update DX for Full DX11.x support in the future, we shall see

That idea died when SP2 for Win7 got cancelled. Instead you got a minor platform update. Even Win8 is already dead and to be replaced in august with Win8.1.
