New Gainward 5700 Ultra

Hey guys just bought a new Gainward 5700 ultra with the new GDDR3 in it. I like the card and it works awesome. Just I want to use my TV as another monitor and I tried doing so and it doesn't seem to see it. Now I am using the cable to go from my analog RCA video to the S-Video on the board. Just wondering if any of you guys had tried it or may be able to offer some answers or guidance. Otherwise this is a great card easy to overclock and scores 4137 on PCMark 2003 that isn't too bad. So I do say if you want a good card and you?re not looking for hardcore gaming cards go with this one. For the hardcore gamers just wait till the 6800 Ultra or PCI express cards come out.

thanks

I've got a DDRII one i'm crankin' at 530/1000 now, and I score just a little bit below you, I agree, the 5700u is a great card. As long as I can play my games at above 35 FPS, i'm good to go 🙂

You're better off with a 5900...it's about the same price and gives a lot more performance. Hopefully you got yours for $150 or less; otherwise you overpaid.

Well this one is the Gainward 5700 Ultra Golden Sample. I like the card though and it performs well.

The 5700u's perform very well for a mid-range card, and they are quite generous as far as overclocking goes 🙂
