Probably an unnecessary question, but I'd like second opinions.
Will Intel create a new form factor for their 64-bit CPUs? Do you think they would release any 64-bit Socket 775 chips?
I ask because I want to purchase a system now that won't require a severe hardware change in the future.
Since few AMD motherboards have PCI-E built in yet (especially Shuttle XPCs, which I am interested in) and because Intel will probably change their CPU socket type, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
So how soon do you think Intel 64-bit CPUs will come out? Or more importantly, how soon do you think AGP will be phased out as the industry standard for graphics cards?
