Heck, it's not even the newest (2010) design - looks like a the prior (05-09) version. And I've never much liked silver as a car color. As much as I'm a big Mustang fan, I'd definitely pass on this version, and get instead a Shelby, Roush, or some other tuner 'stang.

Two Ford Racing power options are offered for the normally-aspirated 4.6-liter Ford V8 300hp ? *a Ford Racing 85 mm cold air kit with 320 horsepower or *an optional Ford Racing supercharger that delivers a head-snapping 400 horsepower. Both come with a factory Ford warranty. Drivers will harness the power through a quick-shifting 5-speed manual transmission.
Fail.
Don't get me wrong, I read the whole bit about the hand crafted, exotic materials, special builders, etc. I also understand it's limited edition. However, from a vehicle standpoint, it doesn't look like anything special on the outside and it doesn't seem to perform any better than a regular GT (with some optional addons). For $90k I want 550+ HP, a six speed, handstitched leather, Brembos, less weight, better aerodynamics, and Shelby's autograph on the dashboard. What's that? We can get Lee Iacocca's name stamped somewhere? Nah, I'd much rather have Carroll Shelby, thanks. 😛
Essentially, this is in / above Z06 territory price wise; it should perform similarly. I fully realize this car is about the class, the special edition, and the limited quantities, but the relative gap between the price and the performance you get is absolutely abysmal. Just make the specs more in line with the price range and I'll be happy. No one buying this car is actually going to make it break a sweat, but there's no need to cut so many corners in a limited edition car.
I would imagine these will be very nice collector pieces 20+ years from now, though. Especially considering Ford is doing very well for themselves in general.

Everything is a "collector edition" these days. I can't recall the last time I saw a PT Cruiser for example, that was not "Limited Edition".
Go go marketing psychology.

1.) This is hands down the best looking retro Mustang to date in my opinion. It's easily better looking than any of the other models we have been forced to keep track of since 2005.
2.) The performance is very respectable. I doubt anyone who intends on buying one of these will not option the supercharger. I think 400HP is the sweet spot for Mustangs in general.
3.) The price is ridiculous. If Ford intends on actually selling any of these they will have to significantly revalue the car. With the factory supercharger I can see this car being priced at $35k but not any higher. We shouldn't forger the 2003-2004 Cobras with the DOHC 4.6 (better than the SOHC 3-Valve by a mile) and a factory supercharger and independent rear suspension went for less.

LOL, "only ricers" think that? No...not at all...
Watched the vid again, I have to say, that's a very sexy design, only I'd adjust it:
1) re-do the lights, make them more how the 2010s are.
2) I <3 the very obvious fastback design, BUT, I'd add the extractor vents on there. I like how they were actually functional back in '67 and I'd love to see them again here.

i thought it looked great without them personally. its a sleek design to me, minimalist to the max. i liked the front end as well. id go for a real color instead of boring ass silver, but thats just me.
