? Desktop reverts from Aero to Basic after rotating the secondary
Dualview display. [274729]

I assume that doesn't happen now, & it better not, or there will be one very angry n7 when he buys his 8800 GTX...

I have this funny feeling that everyone who tells me portrait mode works just fine on their 8800s doesn't know how to look for lack of hardware acceleration :(

Just a warning, the 64 bit driver link is bad (On Nvidia's site, not this forum). Once you click the final driver link, copy the URL, it links to the 158.24 drivers. Just switch the 24 for a 42 in both instances in the URL and you'll get the right drivers.

And who said NVIDIA was slow with drivers. I'm curious as to how far these will boost performance over the 2900XT... :)

the issues listed were fixed issues according to the release notes (tho i run dualview and portrait mode w/o any issues on earlier drivers... )

Good to see new drivers for those in need. "Official beta" is a bit funny though. :)

directly available from nvidia, rather than than a "leaked" internal or vendor driver obtained from a third party site. i kinda thought it was self-explanatory and straight to the point... but hey, if you have a better term, feel free to share.

No, I wasnt meaning that. Just kinda funny, thats all.

:D

So.. anyone tried these? good or bad?

These are the best drivers that I have used in Vista so far. I didn't have any probs with the 158.18 set but these seem to have better IQ and Aero "seems" a little "zippier"
I have only tried LoTR MMO and perf was great, the colors are a lot more "vibrant" thn the 158.18 set.
