The Intel® SATA Solid-State Drive firmware update tool provides the latest firmware for the following Intel Solid-State Drives in all capacities:
- Intel® X25-M/X18-M SATA Solid-State Drive on 50nm (black case) - updates to FW version 8820
- Intel® X25-E SATA Solid-State Drive on 50nm (black case) - updates to FW version 8850

Great! Will be trying this at the weekend on my 320 drive, if I can find any disk space to back an image up onto first. I wonder if I'm feeling brave enough to flash without a backup? :D

I flashed my 320 80GB ... worked great ... I never experienced the issue though.

I flashed my x25-v as the firmware was from 09 didn't know intel updated it earlier this year. Performance about same a little higher reads but then again I switched from p55 to p67 a couple months ago so could be that. Had old screenshot from when benched after I installed it last year.

I flashed my x25-v as the firmware was from 09 didn't know intel updated it earlier this year.

If you didn't get the January update that is the only reason to update anything but the 320.

Yep. Didn't even know it was updated in January. Was kinda surprised when I checked the firmware version on it.
