I'm not sure if FuseTalk supports this & AT has just chosen to disable it, or if it just hasn't been thought of for FuseTalk. Anyways, can we have a "profile" button in the private messenging window. It's somewhat annoying to have to go do a search for their profile exclusivly when you get a PM from someone, rather than just having a little link.

Edit: Just got an e-mail back from e-Zone Media & they have chosen to implement this into version 3.1

Yeah, Zuni writes it for e-Zone Media and then 'tests' it @ Anandtech. We're kinda his project child. Anyways 99.9% of what they do here is straightup FuseTalk, they actually have several features disabled (as they are too server demanding), but Zuni does listen here quite often for ideas/tips. Basically you're right, but not totally.

I think this suggestion might have come up around the last batch of major upgrades to the software. I'd have to agree with you about the value of having some sort of "Profile" button available. I often find myself looking at a PM (or all PM's for a user) and wanting info from their profile. Would love to see a profile link incorporated sometime.

<< Is a new version of Fusetalk in the works or is this it for a while? It's fine, no problems, I'm just curious.

Fixed iamwiz82's link

Good question, I'd imagine that he is always working on a new version, but what the heck do you add to an already so complete package? Maybe a point release with some patches (if there are any), but that's about it I could think of. As it is Anandtech already has many features disabled, as do most other sites I imagine.

Lol, good point. :)

A lot of suggestions were taken when the subscriber service came into being as well. I wonder if they decided to use any of them??

Well whenever they find bugs they release a new version. I'm currently running build 3.07. The 3.0x builds are usually just bug fixes and no new features. The 3.x releases should have new features. The next release of Fusetalk is going to require database changes so it'll probably be called 3.1 and i'm guessing we will see new features. :)

Back on topic...

I would really appreciate a link to the authors profile on an instant message - the way I do it at the moment is open up a new window and do a search for any posts by that person - kinda long winded and tedious to say the least.

I suggested it to your e-mail @ e-zone media & got an email back saying you have chosen to implement it into 3.1. Just figured I'd share with you guys.
