I was thinking, and i see all this thread crapping and stuff that just moves the thread away from teh original intention or question.

Like the Black/Silver Tube TV thread. He wanted to know if we knew about black tube tv's, and some members started saying how it was stupid for him to want a black one (i paraphrase). Now, I'm not agreeing with either party in this thread, but I was thinking if like next to the poll option, there would be another option.

Where you can enter in a member's name, and it would take out his posts in your thread and prevent him from posting it again?

What do you guys think

Good idea but it would invariably be abused.
 
I don't think it would work, because people like Hammer would have to create another account to be allowed to post in *anyone's* thread.

I'd rather be given the ability to simply filter out users altogether. A user ACL of sorts. Should be easy to implement too.

Wouldn't that not pull here though? I mean, there have been arguments before where the outcome was that this is a private website so all that stuff doesn't matter.

I want the ability to filter out Lifer's. They never say anything important anyway. Elite members for that matter too.

EDIT: My idea seems at least a little different then yours. Mine is just for a specific thread while yours seems to be in general.
