it has brought tears to my eyes...well maybe that was the onions being sliced in the next room. but i have been graced by a mod post, its such a revelation. there's a light at the end....its so nice i want to go to it....:)

and he/she even said my name! and i wasn't in trouble when they did, oh the joy i must take a screen shot...





honestly tho i guess i hadnt run across that...is the Faq button on the nav bar new or am i just selectively blind?

Yeah, it bans all the free ones too. :( No @yahoo.com or @hotmail.com
I had to use my @jps.net account because it was the only extension Anandtech allowed :(

besides ppl on AOL use computers like e machines and packard bell.
they no need anandtech :)

Actually you can't even post from AOL. I got a free year of AOL with my notebook and when my cable modem went down last time I tried to post from aol. Don't work. :/

Well, personally I'm against any policies designed to keep &quot;the masses&quot; away from centers of communication, but the ban affects me as well. Normally I woldn't use aol (I won't bother to explain why) but at the moment I am on an island about 20 miles off the coast of Maine. My only isp options are aol or my normal isp's wonderful 888 number (10 cents per minute). Not wanting to pay $6 an hour for a sub 20k bps connection, I am forced to use aol to read the boards, then when I wish to post, dissconnect, connect to my other isp, post, dissconnect and reconnect to aol. Same for senind or replying to PMs.
