Welcome!!!!

I know what you mean, Fritzo.

Always has to be a parade-raining thread-crapper about around here, don't you know.

My turn: if someone wants to see something that sucks, just watch an episode of "war at home." Even the laugh track goes "wtf, that isn't funny!"

I was LOLing when Joe's feet kept floating to the top in the beer vat. Then he pushed them back in... and they floated back up again! Ha ha ha ha! :)

How Peter hides his porn was the best part....and not too far off of what guys go through to keep it hidden!

Wow, I think I laughed one time during this episode. Plenty of smirks, but only one good laugh.

He would have been pissed at me too. I'd never heard of "Wings" until this episode.

I find that Family Guy has too many slow parts. Like Brian talking on the cellphone. I guess I just couldn't stand that because I'm used to having to put up with that kind of thing at home - instructing people on super-complicated pieces of technology.
Another one - Stewie singing at the nursing home. It just drags on and on. I guess it saves on having to write a real script that'll actually span the full 22 minutes. And repetitive motions also save on animation costs, like when it'll show the family watching TV for like a full minute, when the only motion is someone's eyes blinking.

See, the fact you've never heard of Wings means that you're either too young or not exposed to pop culture enough to get 3/4ths of the jokes in the show. People in that situation aren't going to understand the gags, and therefore not like the show.

I didn't like this episode much to be honest. The only part that made me really laugh was "It's like she's fvcking five!" I agree with Jeff7, there are too many long drawn out jokes, they were funny in the early seasons but it got old.

That may be so.

I prefer Futurama, and The Simpsons. I don't know why, but I loved the one touch in a Halloween episode. It was in colonial times, and quite appropriately, Mrs Krabappel had a scarlet letter A sewn onto the front of her dress.
Don't get it? Oh well. :)
Futurama had all the nice, geeky touches, such as biobeds out of Star Trek TOS, and hyposprays from TNG. And Al Gore. They had Al Gore. Family Guy doesn't. So there.

Futurama is definitely better, the Simpsons is just old and tired, nothing special there. Problem is, Futurama cost so much to produce that it wasn't worth it, when you looked at the ratings. Obviously Fox wants to keep Family Guy costs down, since it's getting okay but not stellar ratings, so they encourage a few longer gags that use less animation. Fine by me, the show on the whole is worth half an hour of my time every week. Whatever keeps it on the air longer I'm all for.

I just can't wait for Futurama to come back.
