I saw The Practice last night. They are using Sharon Stone to draw people back in and I think they are using James Spader effectively. If you have a law firm that is not below using show room tactics to win a case, then why not have a sleazy lawer on your staff? I think the story line of having honest, caring lawyers being dragged down by the system was okay, but a little too dramatised and sappy. And the indignation of Camryn Manheim's character is getting on my nerves. And the 100+ ear rings she wears is distracting to say the least.
This is probably the last gasp for the show. If it doesn't pick up the ratings, I think ABC is going to jettison the show. I think this is the last David Kelly show left on TV. I guess after this, there is nothing left except for him to house bunny to his wife, Michelle Pfeiffer. Of course, that wouldn't be so bad if it were me...
EDIT: This show doesn't make it for me. I recently turned my satelite back on. Sunday night football and Mail Call (on the History channel?) will be my picks for Sunday night viewing. Also, the only thing I might tape or stop to watch this fall is Scrubs. Smart funny writing. Oh, and I just read that is the next to last year for Frazier. They want to tie the number of years Cheers was on before they leave too (11 years - that makes 22 years of continual TV employment for Kelsey Grammer.)
