In addition, Amazon Prime also has a deal worked out to have The X-Files on its service.

I have both Netflix & Amazon. I don't know why you wouldn't. My old cable bill was like a gazillion bucks; now it works out to under $20 a month for both Netflix & Amazon Streaming (plus Prime shipping! and music! and unlimited iPhone photo backup to their cloud so I can ditch iCloud!). Even compared to the old basic cable bill, I'm still saving $60 a month while using both streaming services.

But yeah, it stinks that they are taking it off Netflix. That's one of the difficult things about cloud streaming; it's about access rights, not ownership. And even ownership in the cloud is difficult. My family really likes VUDU; we have a pooled account where we buy most of our shows to share & also redeem the UltraViolet codes that come on DVD & Bluray movies. The trouble is, they only let you have 8 devices, which sounds like a lot, but that only gives us 2 devices each (Roku, Playstation, etc.). I wanted to add the VUDU app to the small TV I have in front of my elliptical but couldn't because we had reached the max device limit, which is stupid because I OWN the movies; if I put a disc player there, I could just pop it in (or stream it via Plex locally). So that's annoying. #firstworldproblems

Goddammit, I'm only on season 5. 😡

It looks like box sets have been on sale for $90. That is way too much IMHO.
