It kinda makes sense. His gaming pc had I7-3770K, corsair H80 Water cooler, GTX 480, 16GB ram and Gigabyte Z77-UD3 MoBO, 128 GB SSD drive and 2-2 TB Harddrives in a Coolermaster HAF XM case.

What's the oldest part? The GTX 480. He probably bought the new GTX 780 to replace it but didn't have time to do it.

Since all of his furniture was in there, it was probably a quick move or eviction.

Congrats OP!

We have some detectives up in here. Drug money, credit card fraud, theft? Keep them coming guys. I love it.

Joking aside, I think we're all just jelly. Including me. Great find.

No debating OP scored a good deal, with plenty of things being sold on CL for various reasons. But a guy selling good out of a "shop," merchandise he claims to have scored from a storage unit? Come on, there's BS somewhere.

The scenario I posed may seem far fetched to someone who's never dealt with it. Trust me it happens. My company provided address info to local police four times in the last three years on storage unit scams. I personally played along with one scam attempt, shipping nothing but packing material boxed to a storage unit, with local police waiting on the other end. Odds are more favorable there's BS associated with the OP's purchase.

Yes, in fact, I have the BEST theory.

Here goes.

I theorize that who gives a rats hairless ass how the card ended up in a storage unit?

You obviously don't. People who post theories about it obviously do. What's your point?

I once bought an iPad 4 off craigslist one week after it came out for $200 below the retail price. I met the guy at a gas station, he was working there at the cash register. The ipad was brand new, still wrapped in the box. After the exchange I asked him why he was selling it for so cheap. He said it's just business.

Nice find OP
