New era of PC gaming? PC games in real life?

we are working on interesting project about augmented reality - it is like reallife PC game with flying drones.

You can race with friends, or fight with friends together. Gain powerups like speed or better weapons, gain XP, have fun.

This idea might work if it used something like Microsoft hololens for the augmented reality part. As it stands now, it's just a cheap gimmick.

It is not a trick.

Drone is controlled by smartphone or tablet, prototypes of drones are working and flying, and for drone shooting are used infrared rays. bases can be used like checkpoints, powerup pickups or as shooting target.
The only difference between reality and video is, that the infrared rays are not visible, so you could not see the laser. But you can see or hear the effects on tablet or by bases.

It is something like popular anki supercars, but instead of cars you are controlling the flying drones
