**New Enterprise starting now**

Watch it....its awesome. I already have my bithorrent download of it. I would watch it on tv too, but no UPN stations are around!

This story is so lame.

I guess when the series maybe losing its ratings, they decide to liven things up. How? Let's bring the borg in!

Wow. So now we have one huge mess of a timeline.

The borg concept is stupid. Always has been. Always will be.

I can't wait for hockey to start again.

way too many inconsistancies. i hope they try and explain some of it in future episodes. what happened to simpler times, when all it took was a hot chick to improve ratings?

How did it mess up the timeline? It links in with First Contact and also links into Wolf 359.

Wait, I understand First Contact but how does this link with Wolf 359? I thought that was just a battle between the Borg & Federation way far in the future from Enterprise.

It will take the borg 200 years to get there... Archer said "so what now, they attack int he 24th century?" or something like that. Which was Wolf 359 I believe.

I just tuned in for the last 20 minutes or so, and I don't normally watch this show. It wasn't that bad..

pretty good episode. it didnt destroy continuity that much, infact they made attempts for continuity. overall one of the more enjoyable episodes

It didnt ruin the timeline. It more or less helped explain the Borg presense at the 24th century.

All though some scenes were more or less unrealistic (Archer/Malcolm gets off 7 shots in the Borg ship).

yeah it even mentioned the events in first contact. besides it's just sci fi, there's no need for total continuity

gettting that many drones was a bit inconsistent, if they adapted on enterprise, the ones on the borg ship should adapt instantly also but heyit's just a tvshow

That was questionable, but as it is 200 years or so from the Borg we know so maybe they adapted slower, just a thought 🙂

edit: dighn beat me too it 😱

The only thing different was that those Phase Pistols were modified, but even still, with 24th century technology in First Contact, they only managed to get ~12 shots at first, and only 3-4 shots after each modification.

Yea, I guess they've been frozen in the ice too long, but FYI, those are 24th century borg.

I wouldnt be surprised if Cochran mentioned the "real" First Contact, it was part of his character to be drunk, and you know what happens if you're drunk.

What we both agreed on was that it was questionable, not in how it was plausible if I'm not mistaken 🙂

if u look at it that way ... 😉

the borg have transwarp conduits. it wouldn't take them 200 years to get to earth. am i missing something? another thing, malcolm said that the modified phasers will need a few minutes to recharge after a shot, yet we see them shooting with only a few second between the shots.

She said it would take 200 years for a subspace transmission to reach the delta quadrant. She didn't say anything about how long it'd take them to get to earth. And yes, Malcolm said "few seconds". You need to actually pay attention next time you watch the show.
