Had to use a double-dose of steroid allergy-spray and keeping windows closed so far doing okay .... happily it isn't hot outside! (New Haven)

Sky looks creepy!

Y'all too? I'm on the other coast and we were dealing with smoke from Canadian wildfires a couple weeks back.

Checking in from finger lakes, it's fucking shit. Similar to last year. Expect this to become a common occurrence.

Definitely not *that* bad in the Boston area, though the sky does have a funny look and the air quality isn't as good today.

I was wondering earlier today why the color temperature out there is slightly warmer than usual. Not nearly as bad as the pics further up in the thread but just enough to notice.

On the positive side, it will cause localized cooling over a large area. Hopefully anyway, something like that might alter weather events in undesirable ways.

The fires span right across the country [MrConspiracy] almost like a Jewish Space Laser took a swipe.....makes me wonder if one of those Spy Balloons followed that path?[/MrC] Then I'm reminded last year this happened in various parts of the world...our forests, at least many of them, are in danger of disappearing.

Sorry aboot the smoke, eh.

We had a 10 minute thunderstorm and it helped a bit locally .... opened the windows for a few.

Wouldn't call it "fresh" by any means but I've smelled worse in late August.

Yep, it's pretty bad here. Stupid Canadians can't keep their smoke to themselves. Maybe they should try bagging it like they do with milk.

Twelve 20-person US fire crews plus one IMT are helping out in Alberta, none is Quebec yet.

@Kaido Call it what it is, smoke.

We had an early dose in Seattle 3 weeks ago. Global warming, who would have thunk it?

I was hoping it would rain. It's almost 11pm & my eyes still hurt so much I can't sleep lol.
