New England Aquarium..

Thinking about taking the GF there tomorrow. Has anyone ever been there? Worth it? Is it a definite all day thing?

IMO the best part of Boston was riding the T around. Monthly passes are the sh!t. Make sure you ride up and down Commonwealth Ave, Beacon and go downtown. Boston has a lot to discover. Taking the Red Line across the Charles River to Cambridge is pretty cool too. To best enjoy what Boston is all about, do what Bostonians do every day...ride the T to anywhere you want to go.

I just figured something out guys... duck tours... ducks can go on both land and water, which is why they named them, duck tours.

It's about a half day thing. I'd hit up the aquarium, then go just a little bit up to the North End, and get absolutely fantastic Italian food.

The last time i was there was a field trip back in 6th grade. I remember it being pretty cool, I think I spent the entire time looking at the penguins. Man i love Boston.

Oh yeah, I remember the Aquarium wasn't too far from the JFK Museum/Library so you should visit that place too. Copley Square might be of interest as well. John Hancock Tower, Boston Public Library, etc should also be something worth looking at if you're staying there for a couple days.

Sorry for a late reply 😛

Um... I'm only here until tomorrow night. Aquarium / North end for Italian food sounds good. But we are also tossing around the idea of the Museum of Science.

Can anyone say anything good or bad about the Museum?

Thanks

It's one of my 10 favorite places on Earth. See the penguins

Go to the Museum. Go the Aquarium. It's another one of my 10 favorite places to be. Museum & Aquarium for a couple hours each, it'll be fun. Then go on a duck tour maybe, or ride the T around.

I was just up there for a grad school interview at BC the other day, didn't have time for the Aquarium or Museum...next time though; definitely going.

Museum of Science could get very expensive depending on what you want to do, so I'd stick to the aquarium. I used to volunteer at MoS and IMO it's become overly commercialized and, with the prices jacked up now, not worth the money. But then again, I've been there countless times and I'm not gonna lie it's pretty entertaining.

Bump for the morning. Heading out in about 20 minutes... still not sure where we're going. 😛

Any last minute inputs?

The aquarium is good for about 3-4 hrs. Nice Penguins and very large layered aquarium.

The science Museum can easily fill the rest of the day.

Museum of Fine Arts if you still have more time.

Good stuff!

Ride the T, take the duck tours!

North end for Italian food and Mike's Pastrys.

Come to allston if you want to help me with my Grad Kinetics Homework!! 😛

I'm off.

Lunch @ North End - Check
Museum - Check
Mike's Pastrys - Check
Helping Tiamat with Kinetics Homework - Pending
