new EK-FC88 GT/GTS (G92) Installed

LOUISSSSS

Diamond Member
just installed the EK FC Block on my 8800gt and my temps are looking great so far.

old temps were:
idle: 60c (30% Fan)
load: 75c (80% Fan)

new temps:
idle: 35c (no fan 😉
load: 45c (no fan😉 (loaded w/ ATI Tool Artifact Scan for 10 minutes)
you like what i did there with the close parenthesis; how i incorporated in a smiley wink?

only problem:
-the long wait from EK to ship my O-Ring from Europe and had to pay $5.50 for it as opposed to $0 for anything from swiftech.
-one of the screws that hold the black acetal top to the copper bass doesn't stay in or screw in at all. I'm worried about it but it didn't leak during my 4 hour leak test and it hasn't leaked for the past 6 hours with my system on. i guess the o-ring is doing a great job.

i'd like to thank jab-tech.com again for sending me this block.

Nice LOUISSS. Every time I read your threads, I want to watercool my second GTX 260. One is under water @ 35 idle/50-55 load, whereas my other is 45 idle/60-80 load. I just need another radiator or two, a new pump or two, and a block... so much money... I've been Aigo'd too many times.

my cs:s'ing temps are 39c after an hour lol

i guess the stock sinks just dont do a very good job, this chip doesn't produce that much heat.

haha if you have one, go ahead and install it! what are you waiting for lol

i love the quietness of my system now.

+++ it looks like my MB issue was resolved w/ the new MB.

nice, i haven't gotten a chance to OC yet. Theres so many more options on this board than my old p45, which guide did you follow to OC?

I haven't really followed any guide but someone should make a template so we can input our settings for specific OC speeds. There is a huge thread on the XS forums about the UD3 boards it just sucks cause you hardly get someone to help you overclocking and XS's forums sucks for notifying of replies ... I'll give what I got when I do overclock mine in this thread or we can start a new one.
