New Eight Simple Rules

Ummk... 8 Simples Rules sucks.
Usually, I hate to say bad things about the dead, but John Ritter was a very unfunny man and a bad actor.
The teenage girl-actresses were annoying.
Peg Bundy shoulda stuck to cartoon voices.

Eugh.

I didn't hear any laughing in this episode, perhaps it was out of respect to John Ritter? Or maybe they decided to make the show realistic. LOL That show sucked. So what John Ritter died, people die everyday why the fvck should I care more than if any other person had died?

I'll say the same thing when you are dead.

I teared more b/c it made me think how it would feel to lose my wife than that john ritter actually died, which is probably the point of the show anyway.

I don't care what you say now muchless what you will say in the future. I would care if you died because then that would mean there would be one less piece of sh!t I have to flush down the toilet.

Why think in such a cynical manner? It's just a TV show. God forbid you ever lose your wife, so why would you want to dwell on the possibility?

I wish. These things do happen though. Sometimes you need a tv show to help remind you just how much you love her. 🙂

he died at the grocery store picking up milk for the kids before school. Mrs. Bundy.. i mean.. henassey (sp?) gets the call everyone fears and she rushed off, cut to a few hours later when everyone is at home, and grieving.

You often see sitcoms depict death.. you don't think twice about it because it didn't really happen to the actor/actress IRL. While you're watching this... you realize it was a real death and they are people who worked with him on a daily basis... and they're feeling the pain while they act this out at the same time. Too sad.

Oh boy you got me there....my how your wit is razor sharp tonight.

lots of crying tonite. *sniffle*

its more than a tv show, its life. he was doing what he did - went to work, and suddenly died. how would you feel if that happened to you? on the show he was doing such a mundane task - going to the store to get milk. you don't expect to hear that your husband suddenly collapsed in the grocery store.

tugs at the heart strings and makes you wonder.

there was no humor at all? i remember when Phil Hartman passed away, and they ran the death angle on Newsradio. Very well done, even had a good amount of humor in the episode. Then they had Jon Lovitz come in to fill Phil's shoes. I love The Critic, but after the Phil Hartman death episode, they shouldve stopped there. Hopefully 8 Simple Rules doesnt suffer the same fate.

I watched it and it made me remember how much I love my dad.....and how I need to call home more and just say the words.

Good thing I didn't watch it, I probally would have been a mess. Sounds very similar to what happened to me last year. But I do have to say, that show didn't have much going for it in the first place, even less now.
