I wonder why Fed Ex Express is used on all New Eggs purchases and no options are given for other carriers. I have had bad luck with Fed Ex. I sign their signature waiver and they cannot seem to place my packages in my side door. I have to travel to a different city each time to pick up my order. Also they charge almost double the price that U.S. Priority mail would have been. And in most cases the Fed Ex Saver shipping packages arrive later than Priority.

hahaha
shipping and handling
plus the discount they get for the massive amount of business they do with Fed Ex, which USPS can't match, is why they use fed ex

All I know is when I wanted to ship the dead Soltek board back to Newegg... Fed Ex wanted 18$ and just down the road U.S. Priority mail was 10$. Sent package by Priority on Saturday and was received by Newegg that Monday. Pretty fast if you ask me.

Today I'm making the second trip out of town to pick up the merchandise they should have left. None of the other carriers have a problem. When I asked Fed Ex why they didn't leave they said it is because New Egg has a special case and must have a signature. So I called New Egg and they no it is a Fed Ex thing. wtf

$18? What kind of drugs are you smoking. I RMA-ed a Shuttle motherboard from Connecticut to California by FedEx, it was $6.

If you have a problem with FedEx not leaving packages due to the signature, pre-sign a waiver. Days when you're expecting a delivery and can't be home leave a signed note on your door, "FedEx, leave package next to the garage" or "FedEx, leave package under the bush". Works every time.

I dont know about everywhere, but UPS tends to damage EVERYTHING i get from them at least a little. I have never had an insurance claim with fedex, im up to 8 with UPS, and 7 of those 8 were disputed by them and turned into either small claims cases, or settlements for less than the value of the item they destroyed.

Yeah, UPS always damages my packages whereas FedEx does not. USPS is alright but they don't have any type of real tracking. Therefore Fedex>USPS>UPS.
