New Egg vs. Mwave

I know there's been a few discussions lately about if newegg and mwave are related or not. I hate posting a link to another forum, but I thought that this might be of interest to you guys.

Basically a guy frmo the Hardocp forums' emailed mwave to ask about the website similarities, this is what he got back:

Dear Sir, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Newegg.com has chosen to physically copy almost our entire web site without our permission. For a short time, the even forgot to change the links, and sent their customers directly to our web site. However, to answer your question, no we are not related to or affiliated with Newegg.com in any way, shape, or form. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know. Thank you for visiting Multiwave Direct! Sincerely, Multiwave Direct

Interesting. I don't think its true though. I've seen several sites that basically have that same layout.

But if the links sent people to Mwave, who knows...

Yeah they're my two fave vendors. I live an hour away from Mwave and they let me just come and pick it up. Their return policy is nice too and their own tech guys have come out to help me out when I've dropped by for some help on a mobo problem.

I've never bought from New Egg, and after reading this, I don't plan to.

MWave has recieved tens of thousands of dollars worth of business from me, and they will continue to receive my business.

i went to mwave.com and newegg.com and they dont look that much alike

i bought about $1000 worth merchandise from mwave, they always came thru... from newegg, i got a radeon le for a friend of mine, no complaints whatsoever. cant we all just get along?
