Just curious if some of you try and get shipping cost back from NewEgg since it took longer to ship the item than was stated. Have you tried to get shipping costs refunded? Did you get the refund?

I remember doing this once with Amazon but that was a high shipping cost item and took like 5days extra when I paid for the faster delivery. They refunded my shipping costs completely.
 
I dont think you can do much about it. I just order something from newegg on monday with regular 3 day shipping and for the first time ever it might come today, which is earlier than expected.
 
UPS only guarantee's their delivery dates on certain shipping methods. HOwever I think they guarantee it on everything except UPS ground. Also, if it said your status was "Execption" and made it take a day longer, they will not refund for that either because according to them an "Exception" is not UPS fault.

<--- no longer shops at Newegg due to them using UPS as default shippers.
 
There have been a few occasions when I ordered from them with the 3 day shipping guarantee, and got it in 2 days...should I b*tch and try to get a refund too???:roll:

No, they are going to call you and try to get you to pay more.

Hey moron, how about you look up the facts instead of spouting your mouth off? UPS guarantees delivery times on all of their services. They were the first company to offer guaranteed Ground delivery times and, unlike FedEx Ground, deliveries to residential addresses are also guaranteed.

If the package is a day late, you get a full refund. There are "exceptions," which may be weather related, you not being home to sign for it, etc.

I havent ordered from newegg in months, but when I did, my stuff would come next day after order was shipped because they have a warehouse in NJ. I remember when their only warehouse was in California i believe, and it would normally take about 3-4days for fedex express saver. Glad everything arrives next day for me now, but I have to pay tax now when I shop there, which is why I dont shop there as often as I used to.

I had the happen to me, but only when they were using fedex.
 
It isn't newegg's fault if UPS took their time.

By the way, UPS will not deliver Saturday, and the day the item is shipped does not count.
