Does anybody know how to get New Egg to send a replacement motherboard before you send in the defective one?

The motherboard in question still works just has a few issues and they allready agreed to replace it but I don't really want to be without a computer for two to three weeks.

Thanks
Cowboy

Sorry .. I'm not sure where else to post this. I thought maybe some of you shoppers might know?

Thanks
Cowboy

P.S. It's past the 30 day exchange and the email I get from them say's they can't help me even if I let them charge my credit card?

i've done advanced replacement everywhere its possible and when RMA'ing something with newegg I tried to as well, but they dont offer it unfortunitly. Not everyone does, like for instance, abit does but its a really weird way, you have to pay them $150 up front, then they mail you a check back after they get their stuff. most places just take a credit card. If you find out newegg does to advanced replacement, be sure and report back, it would be nice to have that option, I hate waiting

Thanks CyberTron !!

Yeah the email way is getting me no where with them and I just though somebody might know of a way around this?

I'm going to call tommorrow and try again but it looks like I'm going to have to just wait :(

Is there a way to move this post for the rest of you and where should it go?

Thanks

Just got this in my email

have upgraded the return shipping method on your RMA to FedEx Overnight for you. I also have resent the RMA email out to you, that will reflect this change.

Still will take a week or so?

Thanks

In a sense this has become hot. Another plus for one of the best online retailers out there. Kudos to Newegg.

I just got another email from NewEgg and it say's something about repairing the motherboard? How the heck do they repair a blown header? I used a meter to check it and there was no voltage at all. It will be a week this monday and from what I was told I thought I'd have it back by now :( I paid extra ($27.75) to get it to them as fast as i could but it looks like I just wasted my money. If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all ....

This is when it comes in handy having a wife with a computer you built for her. At least then you could kick her off of it for the week or so until your replacement MB came. J/K

newegg does give you the option to cross-ship all products cept for referb and cpu i believe, but they charge you for the cross shiped item until they get your rma'ed item. its a rather nice option but id put it at warm at most since it isnt so importaint. id put newegg in gerneral as a hot deal because their rma staff is top notch

I was told by NEWEGG support that under no circumstances would they cross ship to me. I begged and pleaded but the best they would do is upgrade the RMA to overnight. Since it's allready been a week .. the overnight I was promised doesn't mean much.

If they have such great support then why do I have to have all these problems?

Is there anyone to contact to try and get this resolved?

Thanks

Judging from your adeptness at posting in the correct forums, I'd guess you're having trouble with Newegg because you're probably sending your RMA e-mails to their advertising department or something.

You could quit bumping it and it would eventually die.

when i had to rma my mobo, i emailed about crossshipping they said i could if i wanted, i decided against it and i got my new mobo 2 days after it got to me, end of story, im sure their is the odd case that new egg is a little slow but 99% of the time they serve better then advertised. hell newegg exchanged my friends cpu after he fried it, just quit whining
