Having bad luck when looking for parts with these two places.. They've grown into a place I dislike, more-so now than ever. They are difficult to navigate, and every-time I'm considering something I need from either I get an uneasy anti-trust feeling when deciding on making a purchase with them.

My bro LOVES his microcenter, but, i dont want to drive over an hour to a B&M store so I usually like to check Directron or Monoprice before i look at the amazonian empire of evil or newoldegg.

I love my MC too but it's not as good as it sounds. Put a reserve on a product last night to pick up, order went through, 10 min later an email says it was canceled and no longer carried at the store, not out of stock, no longer carried at the store. Today, the same item is available.

Arrived a half hour after MC opened, the first day the Dark Hero motherboard was in stock at my Micro Center. The sales kid "gotcha" What's with the younger youth always saying "gotcha"??? the sales kid walks the motherboard up to the front of the store. Mind you this motherboard is in high demand. So I don't get a chance to check it out and why would I think the seal would be broken when all of their Dark Hero motherboard stock is in a glass display case. I get home and the seal is broken. I go back looking for a new one within an hour and all 5 are sold, yet the one they hand me had a broken box seal..

Even after all that my local MC still has my favor over any other place when buying pc hardware. Anyways this isn't about MC

Bought a power supply for 279 back in 2016, the same one can be bought from Honk Kong for 389 off new egg, or you can get it for 400 on amazon from a store in the states?

I like Microcenter but the biggest problem is that it is an absolute zoo on the weekend. Extremely crowded, wait 20 minutes in line. I'm not interested in waiting 20 minutes in line so I can get a 10 foot network cable or a specialized screwdriver set or whatever random thing I need. Also never seen so many neckbeards in one place in my life.

THIS is why you think Newegg and Amazon are "scalping heaven"? Because PSUs cost more than they did in 2016? Welcome to current events, where have you been, in a bunker somewhere? Trump trade tariffs, supply chain disruption, unprecedented demand, oh, and there "could be" a world-wide pandemic.

Micro Center has the Model D Matte Black mouse for 49$, on New Egg or Amazon it's ~$90
