New ECCP client

New client at LINKY. Bacically a stripped down GUI with 10-20% more iterations. My cel900 went from 400k to 465k.😎😀:Q Time to tweak!!! (Thx to Team Weazy forum)

Make sure you guys post "thank you"s here or there, so those guys know thier work is appreiated. I know Ken_g6 checks this forum, but JBerg does not (Jberg -> p4 client)

They put into a good bit of time!

WOOOAH!!! I highly recommend this client to anyone that is running ECCP. One of my boxes went from ~304000 to ~350000 (celeron2) and the other I have put it on so far went from ~430000 to ~478000 (athlon).

This client is definately faster with a Pentium III!! Its still not got a "pause" feature, which I would like, but the speed increase is nice. My work P3 speed increased by 15%!

Thank you Ken_g6 and JBerg. !! 🙂

Let's hope everybody starts using this client - it can shave many weeks from the project time.

I know I've posted this before but if you want to follow the client design and stay up to date check out my forums. It's the team-tnt.net in the sig line.

Hopefully, this will slow filter it's way into the official client like all the changes before.

So Ken is from Boulder, Colorodo - just down the road from me in Denver. Thanks for the hard work in the client, Ken. Too bad about that bowl game...

Any hope for a Linux version?

Wow! 16% faster than the stock client! And about 10% faster than the statsaholic verstion optimized for my Duron! Thanks for the work, this is quite impressive.

yup.. killed the optimized version completely... im gettin 920k - 940k iterations now... up almost 100k from the athlon optimized..

I havent downloaded it but I guess by that post there is no linux client or source. I wonder if it will work with WINE on my dual p3 machine...

WooHoo! That bumped my XP recently overclocked to 1610Mhz to up and over the magical 1,000,000 iterations per second mark. I had been running Sengent D2OL on that machine but in honor of the new client I'll put ECCP on it for a while again.

You know if you actually went over there and looked. You might find what you need. nockmonkey yes there is a source availible.

The dll you need is the cygwin1.dll

I clicked on the only working link in this thread, downloaded a zip file, unzip, run & it tells me I'm missing a dll.

From the main ECCP, I downloaded the Windows GUI and running that Nov 2001 version. But my point is that, in this thread, I didn't find a link that shows me where to get the missing dll. I clicked on the original link and subsequent link but only one works and all it does is download a file.

IsOs, in the ZIP there is a dll files called cygwin1.dll. You need to put it in your wnnt\system32 folder. There IS a readme in the zip too...😉🙂

I went through the same BS with the missing DLL and was also frustrated that it was hard to find. I think the guy who maitnains the site at the working link should zip it up with his new client and offer it for download that way.

It is NOT currently included in the zip file of this new client, but it is included in most other optimized client zips. Go HERE, download one of the optimized clients (the betas are fine), extract the cygwin1.dll file to the windows/system32 directory and you're good to go.

BTW, the dll can be placed in the same directory as your ECCp client and it will run fine too; that's how I've got it.

MIRROR

Here. I mirrored it on my site. I added the sample ini file, the readme, the files to manually send and stop sending dps if you arent on a permanant connection, and the dll file. This is the windows version. I don't have linux installed ATM.😱

Hope that helps.🙂

Edit: The readme is from a previous version, so it may have the name of the .exe etc different. When I get a moment, I will look at it and see how it needs updated.

I compiled a Linux CL client based on the new asm code.

If you're feeling a bit dangerous, you can try it out. It was built on an athlon system (that's all I have), and I didn't check to see if there were any athlon specific compiler flags in the code, so it might work elsewhere.

It seems to work fine for me, so I thought I'd share.

Get it here.
