new e6300 overclock

Playing around at work threw in one of the newer e6300 in my water cooling rig. I got it at 10.5 at 410 which is 4.3 . I very happy with it but I have to have the v-core up at right under 1.48 to keep it stable.

Under prime the highest temp I saw was 56c I feel that's great for the v core being this high. Idles around 35c I had it decode a movie and it stayed around 42c normal use. I would like to push a little more but my board isn't very good much higher bus 4.3 is fine with me.

Now do you think the voltage is to high for a 45nm chip to run at 24/7? If my temps stay good should be fine right?()🙂

probably a little high, but it's a cheap chip and you're getting extreme value while it keeps running... get another if it cooks...

Eh, since its under water the extra voltage might not be too big of a deal. I don't like the idea of any voltage over 1.4, but I've always used air.

Your @ 4.3Ghz that is excellent. As for running it like that in long term usage. As long as your liquid cooling is doing its job and temps are good then CPU will live for ages... gl
