i have an aopen combo drive which is suppose to rip @ 16x but is limited to 8x for video which it only avg 4x, there is no patch to unlock the speed. so now i need a new dvd-rom drive, whats the best dvd-rom drive to rip my backup -Rs? i was looking at an Aopen 1648(?) but it doesnt look like the 1648s ive seen. any suggestions?
