new dvd-ram drive but .....

Hey all, i just got the new dvd-ram drive in from justdeals.com. i did get a "just deal" on it as it comes with no burning software. what is everyone else using? i have nero 5.5.4.0 that says it is capable but i need your opinions. i will be using this for network back-up. any ideas??? THANKS!

I use Nero and FireBurner. At least for me that covers all bases.

What OS are you using? WinXP has native support for DVD-RAM -- it treats it like a big floppy or hard drive. You only need to install drivers if you want to format DVD-RAM disks in UDF format (WinXP can format them in FAT32 format)

If you are using Win2K/Win98 you will need to download the driver and utiliites from Panasonic's site.
