New DVD Owner...needs some help..

Pixle

I just bought an external sony drx-710ul. I have dvd+ media.

What I would like to do is burn about 4 dvd cd's which are all about 30min. in length onto 1 full 4.7gb dvd.

I have no clue if nero can do this or what tools I could use to make it easier. I keep getting errors when I try to do disk copy or anything of that nature.

If a dvd guru could help me out please.

Oh..and I'm using usb 1.1..computer doesn't support 2.0

Thanks,

Pixle.

I think you just answered your own question...USB 1.1 for external drives (HDD & Optical) = bad idea.

If i am wrong, you guys correct me, but i really think that connection speed could be a part of the issue.

I am also getting a error saying that the drive is not ready even when I try to play the dvd. Maybe I can get a pci usb 2.0 adapter?

for optimal speed, use usb2.0, otherwise it'll be really really slow, as for the errors i'm not sure if that is due to the connection but try dvdrhelp.com
