Hello. I just signed up with Alltel DSL and am having problems, sorta.

Seems when I browse for 5-10 minutes my network hangs till I reboot. I only have one comp connected right now. Any suggestions? or other info needed?

TIA.

Are you using a router of any sort also? If not, then check to see that you have the updated drivers for your NIC. Good luck.

EDIT: Sorry, just did some research and found that the DI704 is a router. In that case, check here to see if they have an updated firmware. What OS are you using?

I just got home from work, god what a long day!! :|
Well I set it up this morning before I left to bypass the router. It seemed to do fine what little time I had to mess with it this morning, but when I got home it didnt bring up my home page, subscriber.anandtech.com 😀. I closed IE and opened again and it brought it up. One thing i noticed is the ATM light on the modem was not lite when it didnt connect. By the time I opened IE again without rebooting the computer or the dsl modem/router the ATM light was on and i connected fine.

One thing I noticed last night. The DI704 after being on for a short period would have the M2 led on. M2 means the router is busy. Sometimes it would connect with the m2 on and sometimes not. Im not sure if that helps any though.

I need to use the 4 port router I have, or I can return it, but for the 10 bux its going to cost me with MIRs i wanna keep it 😀.
