New drivers for Ati 800XL

Have a Ati 800XL. Which sections on ATIs website should I download to get my system up and rolling...I'm on dialup. I'm not use to the Ati site as I've just used Nvidia cards in the past. Do I need all 4 downloads or will the first 2 be enough? I'd rather not load the Microsoft. Net Framework because for some reason it always asks for a user name on system boot....slows me down. But it looks like you need the net Framwork for catalyst drivers. Please advise.

I think you should only have to download the latest ones (5.6?). I haven't ever owned an ATI card, so I can't tell you about .net framework or anything.

The minimum you need is the base control panel and driver; you'll find this is the dial-up section in two parts.

I believe the Catalyst Control Panel(CCC) required .Net framework, but I don't think the base control panel requires it. I could be wrong though.

Definitely want to get the latest version of Catalyst, currently 5.6 though.

Don't waste your bandwidth on the CCC.

Get the basic driver.
