i had a color profile configured for my lcd, and now its gone. when you uninstall a driver and then reinstall a new one (yet I selected the option to let me keep the profiles), where can you fine the profiles? It looks as if my color is like it what before the color profile was ever applied (I could always tell when it was applied right after the desktop loaded during boot).

any ideas?
and I also have to recreate all my game profiles, which is not a big deal, just an annoyance, especially when I was told my profiles would be saved.

thanks

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\spool\drivers\color

You can import them using the import button under the Color Correction tab in the drivers control panel.

i tried that, but my color profile wasn't there
only one that I recognized was one that another program had made when I was configuring my monitor, but that didn't change the color at all. and videos have considerably more noise in them now as well.
is there a certain place nvidia stores them or something other than that folder?

okay, I redid the settings with nvidia's color optimization tool. and wow, it was being picky as hell about letting me save. it was more or less trial and error about going back to the desktop and then getting back into control panel, opening the color tool and closing without doing anything, then it finally gave me the option to save. wow, a little buggy maybe? didn't happen with the last set of drivers. (from now on, no more uninstalling previous driver set, ugh.. this driver works good enough for me)

edit: the 81.98 does seem to provide a bit of a performance boost. Not much, but a little. Could be system variables though, probably not good enough testing. But in my mind it works so thats all that matters, right? ;)

edit 2: am I alone in liking the 'Cool' setting on my monitor (color temperature). Maybe its because I am an attraction to blue (lol) or maybe its because I am slightly colorblind with the red and green spectrums? Either way, cool almost appears for natural to my eyes. Is this a good thing? Should I fight my eyes and go with 'Normal' instead of 'Cool'?
