New drive, in Device Manager, but not My Computer?

Since this is a different topic than my last, I'll start a new thread.


When I install my new 640gb SATA, I have the Raptor in the 1 port SATA connector on the mobo, and it doesn't matter what port I plug the new drive in, it shows up in my Device Manager, but I can't get access to it.

XP doesn't prompt to intialize the new drive or anything to that extent.

The Bios doesn't seem to mention it anywhere that I have seen, but I might have been looking for it in the wrong places.

The drive uses the same driver as the current Raptor that I'm using, so I doubt its a driver issue.

Solved.

Right Click My Computer - Manage - Disc Management - Right Click on New Drive (will be labeled Disk 1,2,3 etc) at bottom of window - select New Partition
