New DPAD client released: Version 4.34

It doesn't like the service install on my Dual Xeon 2.4 with HT server at work...

4.33a is going back on there then...

I'll see what happens by Monday regarding this...and if/what improvements 4.34 makes!

No way I'm losing production with me being a guinea pig! 😉

I have it running in a service install.

I will update my install script tomorrow ( out for  and :music: )

I am having the same problem. I got it working on my P4 HT 3.0 laptop but not the P3 Desktop. Hmmmm.

I've got my first completed result from 4.34...or should I say

4.771058 (182.7 Mpts) [v4.33b] {2F6D8DFE} <SolenoidsTo15cm>

4.33b 😕 😉

This is the output from the cmdline client:
t = 200.00ns (309/53010 particles) 182.7 Mpts
New simulation
Making new genome, TrialType=Mutate... Done
Interpreting lattice file 'SolenoidsTo15cm'...
Beamline consists of 59 units
Adding components to simulation space
Tantalum rod source data loaded.
Building proximity grid 8x8x50 (3200 cells)... Done
Done adding components
Determining nearby components...
- Starting -

Anyone else seen those before??

This is on my 2.0GHz P4m laptop, not on a service install, just running the muon1_cmdline client 🙂

Never seen that before either... But I am seeing it now

I actually had problems executing the cmdline version on one of my servers.

3 tries at executing from muon1_cmdline.bat all started it but the client closed seconds later. when i went to the command prompt and tried the same thing it worked fine 😕

I tried running my from the command prompt but I still get the same results. It never builds the grid, it just exits. Never runs. I will have to wait until Monday to get it running.

OK, I created a new folder and loaded the new client into it. Copied over the user.txt file and ran the command line client. It did not work the first time. Had to run it a couple of times for it to work.

Appears faster.

After more testing. If you keep executing the command line client, it will eventually run. I then stopped the client and restarted. Yup, you guessed it, like a stubborn woman, it refused to run again. Kind of like asking your wife to get you a beer. After much nagging, running the command line client like 15 times, it ran again.

There was much rejoicing!!!

hehe. i'd stick with the 4.33 version until stephen irons out some kinks that are posted in his forums.

He is away until monday so i assume he'll begin fixing the version then 🙂

The only problem that has been posted to my bulletin board so far is that the version number is misprinted as [v4.33b] instead of [v4.34].
